For the fête des Guides,August 14th,the route des Gaillands ( D 243 -yellow on the map) is closed from the Pélerins round about on the way to Chamonix, and from the route des Pécles the other way.

Facing a great trouble to find a parking place,you are strongly advised to take the valley train or a special Chamonix Bus

These Trains or Buses are free for any one with an entrance ticket to the Fête des Guides.
